Taggie was founded by two international students who personally experienced the challenges of starting over abroad.
We're building a platform that helps newcomers connect, belong, and thrive—no matter where they are.
Everyone needs a feeling of belonging. Belonging to a community, a neighborhood, a school or a country. It’s in it that we immerse ourselves socially and create a solid base for our lives.
However, there are instances where we are put in a position of change: Going abroad, changing jobs, moving away. All of that takes the sense of belonging away, as you need to settle in a totally new place. We as international students faced that in the most extreme way, different language, different culture, no one that we knew and from there we had to rebuild.
In this new era, rebuilding in a new place is way harder than ever and we experienced that at its fullest. With that pain in mind, we wanted to create a platform for those out-of-place people to settle in easier. And that’s how we created taggie.
